Digital learning requires new evaluation strategies that differ a great deal from the traditional evaluation criteria used to check written or even oral work. Digital learning is more varied and expansive than pen and paper learning. It encompasses within it research skills, social skills, work ethics (related to respecting intellectual property rights) and last but not least authenticity. An authentic assessment of Digital Learning will have to take more skills into consideration.

The article is very interesting and proves that once again, if used correctly, technology can benefit a whole school, teachers, and most importantly students. With regards to my project, I like the structure of the article and how to offers specific techniques that were used to increase the scores. Educators who incorporate technology into their classroom enhance the students interaction with the material and allow the child to interact with the material at the best time and best speed for them. The only issue with the article is I would have liked for them to expand on how the technology coach helped the teacher. I think for educators one fear, especially if they do not know how to use technology, is if the coach will help them understand how to use it, but then let them go to use it on their own, and then check back in with them to ensure they are understanding and utilizing all of the features, which will benefit the students.
