My Thoughts: You can't teach someone how to learn. You can give them helpful tips and advice, but a single structure for education is not going to work for everyone. It's so much harder for people to learn their true potential, to reach their goals, when they're only shown a single path to them. You show them the path through the forest, but what if there's a rock face nearby that also leads up to where they want to go, and what if they happen to be a fantastic rock climber? It just makes more sense to show someone a map if you can, instead of directing them towards only one path.

“Learning is most effective when it’s personalised; it means something to the learner. That happens when people feel they are participants and investors in their own learning, shaping what and how they learn, and able to articulate its value to them.” — Leadbeater, Charles

the video http://leankit.com/product-tour/ looks nice, but I did't try it myself. Has anyone experiences with this tool?

After my experiences with Scratch it is definitely a resource that you could use with students. I did find parts of it challenging, however this is because it is completely new to me. If students were introduced to programming at an early stage it would not appear so daunting to them.

I found that it would be a suitable design resource for high school students. I found it challenging, however very engaging and addictive. I am unsure how this would benefit all students, as it was difficult in some areas to program and get perfect. Personally, I wouldn't use this program within my classroom.

I agree Katrina, this progam would be too hard for most primary school students to grasp

It looks like a great tool for language teachers. Something to create quick messages or sentences in a fun way.

This webpage has a wide range of Apps for Education. There are many Apps for a wide range of KLA's, however is a wonderful webpage to find Apps quickly and to gather an understanding of how to use these within the classroom.
